Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how WoW Forever Wiki (wowforeverwiki.org) handles information when you browse this public wiki.

What this site is

WoW Forever Wiki is an unofficial, public, read-only community encyclopedia about World of Warcraft: Forever. We do not sell subscriptions, credits, or paid plans on this site. There is no public account registration. Site operators may use a private admin login to publish and maintain content; that login is not offered to visitors.

Information We Collect

We may collect:

1. Usage / analytics data — pages viewed, approximate region, device/browser type, referral information, and similar metrics when analytics tools are enabled.
2. Technical logs — standard server or CDN logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
3. Cookies and similar technologies — preference cookies (for example language or theme) and cookies or identifiers used by analytics or advertising partners described below.
4. Messages you send us — if you email support@wowforeverwiki.org, we keep what you send so we can reply.

We do not currently collect visitor account profiles or payment card data on this wiki.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the wiki is used. Google may collect information such as page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser data, and cookie or similar identifiers. Google processes this data under its own terms and policies.

Learn more: Google Analytics and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Other analytics

We may also use a privacy-oriented pageview/analytics provider (for example Pageview / Plausible-compatible scripts) that records aggregated visit statistics. Those tools may receive your IP address or a hashed identifier through our hosting or the analytics vendor.

Hosting and delivery

The site is hosted and delivered through infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare. They may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs as part of serving and protecting the site.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

If we enable Google AdSense or related Google advertising products on content pages:

• Third parties, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or similar technologies, and may collect or receive information such as IP addresses and device identifiers, to serve and measure ads.
• Google and other third-party vendors may use this information to show ads based on prior visits to this site or other sites (interest-based advertising), subject to applicable law and your choices.
• We do not knowingly pass email addresses or other directly identifying personal information into Google ad requests.

For how Google uses data on publisher sites, see: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

You can manage ad personalization preferences through Google’s ad settings and industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages where available.

How We Use Information

• Operate, secure, and improve the wiki.
• Understand which pages are useful.
• Serve and measure advertising when ads are enabled (content pages only).
• Respond to support or privacy requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with providers that host the site, deliver email, run analytics, or serve ads, under their terms, or when required by law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Contact support@wowforeverwiki.org.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with consent requirements may see additional cookie or consent controls when we are required to obtain consent for analytics or personalized advertising. Where required, we will not use non-essential cookies for those purposes without a lawful basis or consent.

Children’s Privacy

This wiki is a general-audience fan resource about a video game. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for interest-based advertising.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
