WoW Forever Deep Dive

Blizzard-confirmed systems and class changes, kept separate from research-derived community data that still needs Beta validation.

Camping & Professions

The Basic Campfire creates a shared campsite with vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and one-hour buffs. A basic camp accepts three crafted profession objects, one per player. Objects begin at profession skill 20; advanced Blueprints can drop from specific dungeon bosses. Upgraded Cooking campfires can support five or ten objects.

More than 600 new profession recipes are planned. Confirmed campsite examples include the Sharpening Wheel, Faction Banner, Incense Candle, Alchemy Lab and Tanning Rack. Crafted food can grant small experience and stat bonuses.

Legacy System

Legacy Challenges award account-wide Legacy Points, while each character spends them independently. The launch trees are Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness; named perks include Well Rested, Bountiful Harvest and Reagent Economy.

Extra progress feeds a cosmetic/prestige reward track, including the Spectral Bear Cub. The system is designed to expand. Forever also shifts most mount cost to riding training and grants a mount when the skill is learned.

Realmless Azeroth

Players choose Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or Hardcore rulesets rather than a traditional realm. Cross-ruleset grouping is not supported and factions remain separate. Hardcore arrives after launch; dead Hardcore characters can transfer out. Characters use two-part names unique per region, and players can set a language preference.

Transmogrification

Transmog can be disabled entirely, and Classic Mode starts with it disabled. Uncommon and Rare bind-on-pickup dungeon appearances go to all eligible looters; Epic raid appearances go only to the player the item binds to. Armor-type rules remain, while level restrictions on valid appearances are removed at level 60.

Combat & Itemization

Classic pacing remains the target: an ordinary solo creature should take about 10–15 seconds to defeat, and dungeon play still rewards crowd control, Threat management and target focus.

  • Spell, melee and ranged Hit are combined; Crit is combined the same way.
  • Weapon Skill remains but gear provides less of it.
  • Bonus Healing also grants one-third as much Bonus Damage.
  • New stats can reduce parry and dodge chance.
  • Caster weapons gain spell damage/healing and trinkets become more situational.
  • Every dungeon drop has been reviewed, with hundreds of new drops and improved set bonuses.

Named examples include Worgenbane Talisman, X'caliboar, Ladimore Heirloom Ring and Master Hunter's Spellsword.

Races & New Class Paths

Six combinations are confirmed: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin. Each race gets two active and two passive racials. Blizzard also detailed revised Dwarf and Undead racials, including Big Game Hunter and Touch of the Grave.

Talents & Paladin

Talent trees retain Classic structure and 11/21/31-point milestones, adding a 16-point milestone. Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild become baseline class abilities.

Paladins gain Holy Strike at level 6; Judgment no longer consumes Seals; Seal of Fury supports tanking and lets Judgment taunt; Consecration becomes baseline at level 20. The class intentionally still lacks an interrupt and broad slowing tools.
