Official regions
WoW Forever Zones
The official Found Photos recap adds a much clearer picture of how Forever expands original Azeroth: long-awaited places, new-but-familiar stories, and a smaller number of unexpected additions designed to fit Classic-era Warcraft.
Highlighted regions
New quests overall
Riverglades quests
Zephras levels
Mount Hyjal
An anticipated region exploring the aftermath of the Battle for Mount Hyjal, emerging factions, Darkwhisper Gorge, and the future of a recovering Hyjal.
Shen'dralas
A new area reached south of Desolace through the Valley of Bones, opening stories tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul, and the centaur tribes.
Riverglades
A previously inaccessible mid-level frontier roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale, now confirmed to contain nearly 200 quests for Horde and Alliance. Powderfuse Port connects it to a new Steamwheedle sea route.
Zephras Isle
The Skyborne starting experience. Their ancestors fled Eldre'Thalas after the War of the Ancients and found refuge in Skywall; the island is now destabilizing as its elemental benefactors vanish and rival groups compete for control.
The Found Photos approach
Forever groups new content into Anticipated, New but familiar, and Unexpected additions, all inside its own early Year 1 “time bubble” rather than rewriting the main Modern WoW timeline.
New world-travel routes
Blizzard confirmed three new ship routes intended to make it easier for friends to meet while preserving the sense that crossing Azeroth is a journey.
Existing zones are expanding too
Wetlands gains new quests and follow-ups for existing characters and threads; Desolace centaur faction questing receives more content and faction rewards. Starting areas also gain new NPCs, quests, profession hooks, and recipes.
Official presentation evidence
These images come from Blizzard’s What’s Next panel and are included as visual evidence only; the newer Found Photos recap is the source of record for the updated text details.

What is not published yet
A complete database of sub-areas, quest chains, NPCs, flight paths, rares, coordinates, and rewards is still unpublished. We will wait for reliable Beta or release data before adding those granular fields.
