WoW Forever Dungeons

Blizzard has officially announced nine new dungeon destinations. The October 1 Beta development notes list the Wetlands dungeon as Excavation Site: Wetlands and confirm its current testing range as levels 26–31. Level bands, entrances, boss names, and sub-area details keep their own evidence labels.

Mixed evidence, labeled by source. This page combines Blizzard-confirmed information with gameplay captures, media reporting, and community research. Verification badges show the evidence level for individual entries; official confirmation takes precedence where sources differ.

Dungeon XP philosophy and level 1–20 telemetry

In the first WoW: Forever Podcast, developers described the current dungeon XP design as favoring a quest-driven first run over repeated mob grinding and cited near-parity in average 1–20 leveling time with Classic Era.

  • • Developers described reduced repeat dungeon-mob XP and increased dungeon-quest emphasis as an intentional leveling direction.
  • • The cited Beta telemetry compared average level 1–20 time with Classic Era and showed the two were very close.

The telemetry applies only to the current 1–20 Beta range and must not be extrapolated to 1–60.

Developer tease: a BRD-like mega dungeon

Josh Greenfield replied “Hold our beer(s)” to a request for a BRD-like mega dungeon. That is a strong developer signal, but he did not identify the dungeon.

Media outlets are speculating about Blackmaw Hold because the attached image appears Furbolg-themed. Blizzard has not confirmed that link, so this Wiki does not label Blackmaw Hold as the mega dungeon.
