No rated PvP

The development team said Forever will not have rated PvP.

Battle for Gilneas and Gilneas zone data are present in the client

The current client contains Battle for Gilneas queue/map data plus Ruins of Gilneas, Gilneas City, and other Gilneas zone records. This is meaningful client evidence, but Blizzard has not announced any of it as playable Forever content.

• Battle for Gilneas is represented as a 10v10 battleground in the client data, with a rated-team-size field of 10.
• That rated field does not override Blizzard’s explicit no-rated-PvP rule; treat it as unused, legacy, placeholder, or otherwise non-authoritative until Blizzard explains it.
• The map has content placed on 9 of 16 terrain tiles and includes names such as Lighthouse, Waterworks, and Mines.
• The client also contains Ruins of Gilneas, Gilneas City, and Gilneas zone records.
• None of this proves playable Worgen, release timing, queue levels, scoring rules, or launch availability.

What “no rated PvP” means

Blizzard’s current direction is a progression-focused PvP ecosystem rather than an Arena or rated-Battleground ladder. The team specifically described a reworked PvP ranking track and seasonal rewards.

Exact rank-point formulas, weekly caps and reward costs found in Beta data should remain provisional until they are validated in live testing or documented by Blizzard.
